Black Panther Party member Chairman Fred Hampton was gunned down as he slept in his bed by Chicago police in 1969. Hampton's murder is widely considered a COINTELPRO political assassination orchestrated by J Edgar Hoover's FBI. Also killed that day was Black Panther member Mark Clark who was on security for Hampton. Both men may have been drugged.
