Has a Fox been appointed to oversee the SEC Hen House?

Critics are questioning the recent appointment of former US attorney Mary Jo White to head the SEC. She also worked at the law firm Debevoise and Plimpton defending Wall Street banksters and was involved in past scandals at the SEC. Others are looking at the appointment as par for course for the Obama administration, which just like Mitt Romney's campaign, was funded by Wall Street.

The state of Washington has issued a press release announcing a "Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Bureau of Land Management". What does it mean?

Speaking of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, a town hall meeting was held in Plymouth, Massachusetts over concerns about the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, which sits very near to the coast on the Atlantic Ocean. A federal appeals court in February rejected state Attorney General Martha Coakley's legal challenge to the relicensing the facility noting and Coakley said the NRC has not considered the disaster that occurred at the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant in Japan. Waste and Debris escaped into the ocean from the plant after it suffered damage resulting from an earthquake in 2011.

Former governor Mark Sanford making political comeback?

Sen. Ted Cruz, a Texas Republican will be visiting the Palmetto state soon and just like first term Sen. Obama, Cruz is getting attention as a possible 2016 presidential candidate.

Former Governor and adulterer Mark Sanford was the top vote getter from the Family Values crowd in the GOP primary for South Carolina's 1st District seat in Congress. He will now face off with Charles County councilman Curtis Bostic in a GOP runoff.

None should be surprised that China has put it military on high alert along the border region it shares with North Korea. As the US sends a navy destroyer to the region, it is speculated that if the Korean cold war turns hot again, they will side with the North Koreans.
