North Korea vs the United States

Dennis Rodman has become headline news again pertaining to his visit to North Korea and his spending time with its leader Kim Jong Un. In an uncomfortable interview, Rodman engaged in with George Stephanopoulos, Stephanopoulos feigned ignorance when Rodman made the point that the United States government has prison camps and presented Rodman with a Human Rights Watch report on North Korea. However, that same organization raises alarms over the United States prison system that is the largest in the world.

In related news, the majority of US held prisoners are incarcerated for non-violent so-called drug crimes. After voters in States like Colorado and Washington successfully legalized marijuana, a number of former and current DEA heads are urging the Obama administration to sue those states since marijuana possession remains a federal offense.

Continuing with the issue of prisons and the treatment of prisoners in the United States, a federal judge for the third time has ordered the State of Louisiana to release Angola 3 PrisonerAlbert Woodfox. Woodfox has been held in the tortuous conditions of solitary confinement for over 40 years for the killing of a prison guard on flimsy evidence that even the widow of the prison guard does not believe. Woodfox and supporters believe that he was targeted because of his political and human rights activism and that he is a victim of the once secret and illegal FBI COINTELPRO program that targeted so-called radical activist of the 1960's and 70s.

Daisy Deadhead tackles the issue of Nikki Haley and the theft of social security numbers under the governor's watch in her Daisy's DeadAir segment.
