With fracking picking up in South Carolina and a moratorium about to end in North Carolina, the Carolinas could be looking at possible earthquakes after research links the controversial method of obtaining natural gas to seismic activity in New Mexico. Researchers released findings at the Seismological Society of America's annual meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah this month and said ongoing earthquakes in New Mexico and Colorado is due to underground wastewater injection.
States like North Carolina, which has a Republican super majority are discussing eliminating "earned income tax credits" for tax payers while giving corporations multi-million dollar "incentives" to lure them to their states.
