From the creators of racist school curriculum used by schools across the south, comes a production of "Macbeth" that some are deeming racist. Bob Jones University is being called out for giving the three witches in Shakespeare’s play dreadlocks in their production. The original story on which Shakespeare is thought to base Macbeth on in part is the "The Chronicles of England, Scotland, and Ireland" by Raphael Holinshed. Holinshed described the witches as members of noble families or "1 percenters" although Shakespeare portrayed them as "hags" with beards in Macbeth.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation" and called on the FBI to confront people in America who have committed no crime for visiting "Islamist" websites. He did state that those who should get a visit from the FBI would be those already in a database maintained by the US government, which has "watch lists" in addition to the "no fly list". In relation to the suspected Boston Marathon bomber, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, media reports and his mother who lives in Russia, state that he was already on one of those watch lists and was visited by the FBI.
According to a Saturday news report by Fox News, a teenager in Chicago was arrested on terrorism charges for attempting to join, an Al Qaeda affiliated group through a website to fight against the Syrian government. This raises several issues and one is the FBI is reportedly behind the "Islamic" website to radicalize and lure would be jihadist into a trap. The other is the fact that the Al Qaeda group in question, Jabhat al-Nusrah, is being assisted by the US government allied Arab Gulf States according to the Christian Science Monitor.
